our story
lua + sage is the creative work of neighbours and friends, sue and sabrina, who met in their local community through their own individual small businesses. the idea for lua + sage was planted during the first covid lock-down in 2020 and came to fruition in 2021.
"the more we chatted and got to know one another, the more we realised how connected we were. our values and morals aligned and we both believe in the importance of self-care and self-love and in the power of intention and nature's healing resources. we wanted to create a range that embraced these things. when it was time to give our dream a name, we knew that we needed to incorporate the moon. we both find comfort in the moon and drawn to its beauty as well as its healing and energising abilities. the moon symbolises growth, creativity and manifestation; coupled with sage which cleanses and promotes healing and clarity, we knew it would be the perfect fit to represent what we are creating. and that is how lua + sage came to be."

my background is that of intuitive healing and guidance. i have always found candles to be beneficial in shifting the energies within a room. i am extremely passionate about the healing qualities of crystals and other natural resources and incorporating their use into daily life. i have spent MANY YEARS in the small business space and for the last 3 years, have run a successful candle business.i’m very conscious of the ingredients we use and thoroughly enjoy hand-selecting the natural resources we use. i infuse love, light and intention into all of the work that we do.

my creative career started in 2011 as a wedding decorator and planner. i thrived in the creative opportunities, the planning as well as the beautiful, fine details.
when i had my children though, i couldn’t bear to leave them every weekend to attend back-to-back weddings, so i made the difficult decision to close down the company.
there is a certain adrenaline rush and endorphin hit that comes with running your own business, and so a couple of years later, i started an accessories and personalised giftware business from my home studio (with my children by my side). this is when I met Sue. We collaborated a few times and got chatting about the concept of what is now Lua + Sage… and Just over a year later, lua + sage was created.
Our aim is to inspire and uplift those around us. Whether you are on a healing and reconnection journey or simply looking to spoil yourself, we hope the love and energy we channel into our products bring you a sense of calm, healing and joy.
